About GDA
The Ghana Dance Association (GDA) is a cultural organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing the rich traditions of Ghanaian dance, music, and performing arts. The association serves as a platform for dancers, choreographers, and cultural enthusiasts to share their passion for Ghana's artistic heritage while fostering cross-cultural exchange and education. It operates officially under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts as well as the Ghana Culture Forum.
The Ghana Dance Association envisions a world where the rich traditions of Ghanaian dance and culture are globally recognized, preserved, and celebrated. Through education, performance, and cultural exchange, GDA strives to foster unity, promote cultural pride, and inspire future generations to embrace and share the beauty of Ghana's performing arts.

- Organizes local and international showcases featuring Ghanaian traditional and contemporary dances
- Participates in cultural festivals, including the African Cup of Nations, All African Games, African Hockey Championship
- Black History Month celebrations, Juneteenth, and other global events
Workshops & Training
- Offers classes on traditional Ghanaian dance techniques and drumming
- Conducts choreography and cultural storytelling workshops for schools, communities, and artists

- Compiles archives of Ghanaian dance history, techniques, and music
